The Social Technologies Foundation, TECSOS, participated in the European project ACTIVAGE during the next 3 years. This initiative involved more than 50 partners from different European countries, both in the industrial field and in research, as well as social organizations and public administrations.

During the development of the project out 9 different pilots throughout the European territory have been carried to test the interoperability of different technological solutions aimed at solving specific problems in the aging population.

The work of TECSOS together with the Red Cross, Vodafone Foundation, Televés and the Galician Health Service was the launching of a pilot in the area of ​​Galicia in which 700 users will contribute to the validation, integration and interoperability of a service of advanced telecare.

The ACTIVAGE Project aimed to address the challenge of aging populations through solutions that involve the use of the Internet of Things. A concept based on digital interconnection that, in this case, will provide autonomy an active social life for the elderly people, as well as reduce the negative impact of chronic disorders and cognitive impairment.
