The State Reference Center for Personal Autonomy and Technical Aids (Ceapat), dependent on Imserso, celebrates its IV International Ceapat Week in Madrid from May 27 to 31, 2019. The Week will be inaugurated by Ms. Ana Lima, Secretary of State for Social Services, Ms. Gina Riaño, General Secretary of the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS) and Mr. Miguel Ángel Valero, director of Ceapat; for its part, the closure will be carried out by D. Manuel Martínez, general director of Imserso.
The motto chosen for this year is “With Ce of Capacity”, a motto that wants to emphasize the need for products and services, environments, people, companies and public administrations to be empowering, effectively contributing to improving the functional capacity of a more inclusive society.
As in previous editions, the International Ceapat Week offers a space for meeting, information and debate on current issues related to the promotion of personal autonomy, accessibility, technologies and services for all people. The program includes conferences, round tables, workshops, presentation of doctoral theses, projects, documents and papers on research and standardization.
Parallel to the development of the technical conferences, there will be three daily guided visits, already arranged, to the permanent exhibition of technology, support products and technical solutions for accessibility available to Ceapat. Those attending the event will also be able to visit specially equipped spaces in which different companies and collaborating entities will present their latest innovations.
Attendance at all sessions is free and free until full capacity is reached, so prior registration is not necessary.
The Ceapat facilities are accessible according to the UNE 170001-2 Universal Accessibility standard and all conferences, round tables, workshops and presentations will have a magnetic loop, subtitling and sign language interpretation.
